Use cases
Scan today.
Use it tomorrow.
From preserving a building before it changes to bringing a real-world place or object into a game, VR experience or augmented-reality application.
Renovation & design
Capture existing conditions before demolition or design work, preserving visual and spatial context that ordinary photos miss.
Heritage & preservation
Create a high-fidelity record of buildings, interiors, artworks, sites and objects before restoration, relocation, damage or change.
Products & objects
Digitise physical products, sculpture, furniture and unusual objects for interactive web, marketing, archival or visualisation use.
Photo-to-3D experiences
Transform suitable existing photographs into spatial Gaussian-splat scenes, opening up new uses for historic imagery, memories, creative archives and locations that can no longer be captured directly.
Real estate
Immersive property captures, premium listings, remote inspections and digital twins that let people understand a space before stepping inside.
Construction
Document stages of a build, create visual site records and capture difficult-to-revisit conditions before they are covered up.
Food
Photoreal 3D dishes, menu hero assets and unusual interactive content for restaurants, hospitality groups and food brands.
Game assets & environments
Capture real-world props, architecture, terrain and locations as a starting point for photoreal game assets and environments. Deliverables can be prepared for real-time pipelines, reference, set dressing or further optimisation in your engine of choice.
Virtual reality
Turn real places, rooms, heritage sites and objects into immersive VR content. Gaussian splats are especially compelling for experiences where preserving the visual character of a real environment matters.
Augmented reality
Bring captured objects, products and cultural material into the physical world through AR — from interactive product previews and exhibitions to location-based interpretation and spatial storytelling.
Immersive experiences
Build spatial experiences that let audiences explore real places, objects and stories rather than simply view them. Capture can become the foundation for installations, interactive exhibitions, virtual environments and experiential media.
Digital production
Use captured reality as production-ready source material for creative workflows including virtual production, VFX, motion, interactive media, web experiences and real-time content.
3D visualisation
Generate stills, animations, fly-throughs and interactive visualisations from captured spaces and objects for design communication, presentations, stakeholder engagement and marketing.
Spatial memory capture
Preserve a meaningful room, home, place, event or object as an explorable spatial memory. Create a richer record than photographs alone for personal archives, family history, cultural memory and places that may later change or disappear.
3D printing & physical reproduction
Turn captured objects, artefacts, architectural details and products into physical models. Scan data can be converted into watertight, print-ready geometry for prototypes, replicas, scale models, preservation, education and display.
Process
How it works.
From first conversation to a usable digital asset, we choose the capture method around what you actually need to do with the result.
Request & plan
Tell us what you want captured, where it is and what the finished asset is for. We’ll recommend the right combination of Gaussian splatting, photogrammetry, LiDAR, drone, 360° capture or a digital-twin workflow and confirm scope, access, timing and deliverables.
Capture the real world
We come to site with the appropriate camera and scanning setup. Depending on the project, we capture rooms, exteriors, objects, aerial context and fine detail in a single session or planned stages.
Build the digital asset
The captured data is reconstructed, aligned, cleaned and optimised. We can produce photoreal splats, textured meshes, point clouds, 360° tours, game-engine assets, immersive scenes, visualisations, digital-production assets or geometry prepared for 3D printing. Existing photographs can also be assessed for photo-to-3DGS reconstruction.
Use it anywhere
Receive the files or hosted experience suited to your workflow — from web and property marketing to Unity, Unreal, VR, AR, design documentation, archives or a physical 3D print.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
3D capture can mean very different things. The best technique depends on the subject and what you want to do with the result.
How does a REALITY SPLAT capture actually work?
After a short project brief, we select the capture workflow that fits the job and come to your site or location. A property may combine interior photography, LiDAR, 360° imagery and exterior drone capture; an object may use controlled photogrammetry; a highly photoreal environment may be captured specifically for Gaussian splatting. We then process and deliver the result in the format you need.
What do you need from us?
Usually just access to the site or object, a contact person, your deadline and an idea of what you want the finished capture to achieve. If you already know your target software, engine, file format, scale or accuracy requirements, tell us up front so we can design the capture around them.
What is the difference between Gaussian splatting, photogrammetry and LiDAR?
Gaussian splatting is excellent for photoreal, immersive representations of real places. Photogrammetry is useful when you need a textured polygon mesh made from photographs. LiDAR measures spatial geometry directly and is particularly useful for existing-condition capture, point clouds and spatial reference. Many projects benefit from combining techniques.
Do you offer advice if we don’t know what kind of 3D capture we need?
Yes. Consultation can be a standalone service. We can assess your goal, subject, required accuracy, budget, delivery platform and ongoing needs, then recommend an appropriate capture method, equipment or workflow. That may be LiDAR, photogrammetry, Gaussian splatting, drone capture, 360° imaging, a digital twin, a combination of techniques — or a simpler approach if full 3D capture is unnecessary.
What is a 3D digital twin?
A 3D digital twin is a digital representation of a real-world place, building or asset that can be explored and used as a shared spatial reference. Depending on the project it can combine 3D geometry, imagery, scans, 360° views and other information for documentation, planning, remote access, facilities, construction, heritage or stakeholder communication.
Can you create assets for games, VR and AR?
Yes. Captures can be prepared as reference, photoreal environments, meshes or other assets for real-time workflows including Unity and Unreal Engine. We can plan capture and optimisation around the target experience rather than handing over generic scan data.
Can you turn an existing photo into a 3D Gaussian splat?
Yes, suitable photographs can be used for single-image 3D reconstruction and converted into a Gaussian-splat representation. This is particularly interesting for archives, memories, concept work and imagery of places that cannot be rescanned. Single-photo reconstruction creates plausible nearby viewpoints rather than a complete measured scan, so it should not be treated as survey-grade geometry. We can also evaluate emerging research workflows such as Apple SHARP where licensing and intended use permit.
What is spatial memory capture?
Spatial memory capture is about preserving the feeling and spatial context of a meaningful place or object, not just documenting its dimensions. A home before moving, a family property, an exhibition, a temporary installation or a place about to change can be preserved as an explorable 3D record for future viewing.
Can a scan be 3D printed?
Yes, when the subject and capture method are suitable. We can convert scan data into cleaned, watertight geometry for 3D printing, including replicas, scale models, prototypes, heritage objects and display pieces. Some captures need additional mesh reconstruction or manual cleanup before they are printable.
Do you offer drone capture and 360° virtual tours?
Yes. Drone capture can add aerial context, roof and façade coverage, site documentation and photogrammetry. 360° tours are ideal when the goal is a simple, accessible walkthrough for property, venues, exhibitions, businesses or remote inspection.
How long does capture take?
It depends on scale and output. A small object can be captured quickly, while a complete property or complex site may take several hours or require staged visits. We’ll estimate both on-site time and processing time before the project is booked.
What files can you deliver?
Depending on the project: Gaussian splats, textured meshes, point clouds, 3D-print-ready meshes, still imagery, video, 360° tours, web-viewable experiences and assets prepared for common 3D, game-engine, VR and AR workflows.
